Become a coach
A coach is a mentor who is sensitive, supportive, and committed to serving as a role model. A coach possesses attributes such as patience, flexibility, and commitment. Consistency, commitment, and seeing the participant as no longer “at risk” but “at promise” are the most important elements of our coaching program.
The role of a coach is to help the participants gain the skills and confidence to be responsible for their own futures. Through companionship and friendship, a coach slowly builds a trusting relationship that will enable him to work with the participant on life skills, setting career goals, developing occupational skills, and empowering the participant to make positive life choices to maximize their personal potential.
